I've just spent 4 hours in a DXB Airport business lounge and it is p sing down with rain - real good heavy tropical rain, none of your light West Coast of Scotland cissy stuff. They have had thunderstorms all night which delayed our arrival (which was still 40 minutes earlier than schedule!). So glad I wasn't coming in Dubai for a weekend break at a beach hotel otherwise I would have been very disappointed to have paid all that money to get to Blackpool in the Gulf (complete with the rotten weather!) Mind you in a few days time the desert will be a mass of flowers and grass!

Sportman and RRSSS might even get to play with the mud and ruts setting of their TR instead of the Sand setting for a change once the rains have passed! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The hailstones at the end were like the ones we had back in October 2006 about a month after we moved here.

We had one of the worst storms ever in Paphos and the hailstones left dents on our beloved RRS which are still there today!

A trick the locals do if there is a bad hailstorm is put an old mattress over the roof and bonnet to protect it  Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award
