After being reffered to as a tosser in your original post I don't really care what you think.
Or is the "don't care" attitude just part of RRS ownership??

I think "tolerant" is probably more appropriate? Most new cars have teething problems, regardless of cost, but the RRS is a great vehicle once you get used to its little idiosyncrasies. Your frustration is understandable though mate, we've all been there! MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

BraveHeart,

I think your choice of quotation was a little unjust being directed at the Quality Assurers at LR. You will come to learn there are a good many LR employees, at all levels, who are members of this forum.
So a more meaningful appology would be good. Thumbs Up

IMHO I think you should communicate with the dealer first Wink

The problems you describe are mainly software related and will settle down. Lets face it all computors can be difficult for no obvious reason. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Spoke to dealer, "it'll just be a diagnostic problem". No worries, Assistance will fix it easily. Land rover assistance worked on it this morning. "Sorry Sir, more serious than we first realised this car should not be driven and, this could be some time to rectify. Hopefully have it back to you by Monday afternoon." Not impressed, and to compound matters, I asked if they wouldn't swapping my grille and vents for the chrome ones ,sitting in my boot until I got time to do them myself, and they told me that would be an extra £70 plus Vat. Nothing like doing me a wee favour to help me out when my sub 200mile car is off-road already in completely the wrong sense of the word.

£70 for changing your grill and vents - That's a complete rip off. Job time = 5 minutes! It's very easy to do, been detailed on this forum, do a search.

BTW read the riot act to dealer principle telling him a little goodwill wouldn't have gone amiss and remember they want your business when it comes to servicing and you can have any LR dealer do that. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Car picked up from stratstone last night. All problems fixed woohoooo!!!! (New part replaced on suspension, plus program warning sorted)

After driving 10 (ten) miles today, we have same warnings on dash flashing up intermittently, and all the lights on the centre consule keep going on and off.

Well done landrover......you have excelled yourself. Sub two weeks old and second trip to the menders!!! Doesn't bode well. Am looking at my options........

Shocked Thud

Just read this thread for the 1st time [ how can I have missed a thread ... I know Embarassed ]

Sorry to hear of your woes Braveheart - but I think your sport must be sensitive to what you thought of its creators Wink

Joking apart - I have had mine 18mths - and in the early days it was as bad as yours.... or worse - but many trips to the dealers later plus 20,000 litres of fuel = sorted !

I just love this cheap car Whistle

Laughing Laughing Like the rest of the lads mentioned at work, I shouldn't have been such a cheap skate and bought a "hair-dressers" Range rover. Oh well.......

Really pleased with it, for the little time I've had it on the road. Lets hope its fixed for good this time, or those "touchy" tossers Wink at landrover can have it back!!!
