New RRS 460e Rear Noise When Start In EV model.

Hi everyone.

I just bought RRS 460e on Tuesday. I am loving the car in every way. However, there is a weird noise I heard coming from underneath the car from the rear end as I turned the car on in ev mode. It happened yesterday morning and then again today around noon time. The noise stays there for a while and then settles down on its own. I am wondering if someone knows what this could be. I recorded a video but not sure if i can post it here. It sounds like a small motor or something like that coming from underneath the car near the exhausts.

Will appreciate if someone can help.

Edit: I uploaded the video online and sharing the link here hoping it will give you kind lot a better idea.

Sounds like a pump of some kind.
Don't know much about EVs but don't they have cooling/heating for the battery/motor? Will have an electric pump of some form.
Equally, if my diesel did that I'd assume it was the air compressor refilling the suspension air tank. 2021 L494 D300MHEV Autobiography

Thanks a lot for your reply. I recently switched to an RRS from a Q8. I’ve always wanted to own one, though I was a bit hesitant after reading about some of the issues people mention with these cars. I finally decided to go for it, which probably explains why I’m being extra cautious—any unusual sound immediately gets my attention! It could just be a heat pump working to warm up the battery. I called the dealership, and they advised me to contact roadside assistance to have the car checked. I’m currently waiting for them to arrive.
