I'm in much the same predicament. While the 5.0 SC does hold a premium over the diesels, it's a very limited market

There’s always a market for well loved vehicles especially if documented on specialist forums like this.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for the bad weather before the prices pickup. I’m convinced the L320’s are way better cars than L494’s. Much more practical, lower at the back and the seats fold flat. Cheers,

There is a market for well-cared for examples, Rob, but it generally doesn't value the cars much above the rest of the available stuff, and it's always less than the seller thinks their car is worth (some real classics/rarities excluded, of course).

Agreed, other than more leg room in the back of L494, I think, the L320 is the more practical load lugger. Mine is regularly used with the seats folded flat to take stuff to the dump, move stuff for people, etc.. And the space under the rear seats is great for occasional need things such a tyre inflater, jump leads, etc.. L494 is great off road, however, with better ground clearance and many have active rear diffs too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
