Anyone else had an email from Range Rover asking if you’d be interested in participating in a detailed survey on the brand and they will pay you £100 for participating. I said yes - without disclosing any info, and then had a call a few days later from their marketing consultants, again just demographic and car questions not in a lot of detail. I was waiting for the request for bank details for the £100 but that never came. Is this a scam do we think?

Feels like it.. did you check the source address of the email rather than just the way it presents?

So update is that I responded when I got a GDPR entitled email asking for personal details and said no way, this is a scam. I had an email back stating that I’d been removed from the survey and quoting a JLR address that I could use to verify their authenticity- it didn’t work….

So be aware if you get this (the marketing company has a website and has the people listed on it) it seems very likely that it is a fairly elaborate scam that seems plausible, right up until they ask for your banking details!
