The workshop manual shows a type of pressurised brake bleeder connected to the reservoir and a fancy box that connects to the Solenoids on the valve block. This box then allows the user to function the valve block while opening the bleed screw on the ACE bar. No sure how many people actually use this method,,, I think most generally rely on the system bleeding itself,, check the bleed screw and keep an eye on reservoir level for a few days. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I just replace the filter every two years and remove and replace the fluid from the reservoir about 5 times (running the engine for about 5 minutes each change). I know it doesn't replace all the fluid in the system, but if you change the fluid often enough, I would have thought that it eventually gets changed. I have been doing this for over 20 years now (on two vehicles) and it seems to work - no leaks and the fluid seems reasonably clear each time I change it. So unless someone can tell me otherwise, I will keep on with the same method. |
