Cars booked next week for a squealing and rattling tailgate. Makes quite a racket.
Finally proved this morning it’s the flipping tonneau cover.
Took it out and the cars utterly silent.
Am I right in thinking it’s just a faulty cover?
I assume it’s not normal for it to squeak and rattle constantly?
The one in my discovery sport doesn’t make its presence known.
Think I’ll contact the dealer and request a replacement but wanted to check if it’s a known issue or even whether there’s an easy fix? 2021 L494 D300MHEV Autobiography

Funnily enough, after driving around with it upside down in the boot for a bit, I then reinstalled it and it was quiet! Didn't last sadly. Rattles are coming back.
Spoke to the dealer (was booked in for rattle from C pillar) and they still want to see it.
