If it’s stuck open it could melt the inlet manifold. Further cost. |

Is it difficult to replace the EGR valve, as i believe it's got to be done as my vehicle could fail the MOT on poor emissions if its left and cause damage to the engine?

A light on the dash will cause an MOT failure.

That's the problem, I've got an engine management light which comes on intermittently then goes out and the diagnostic test has flagged up a faulty EGR. I don't think I have a choice but to get it changed?. I understand if I don't change the EGR it could cause damage to the engine etc? |
