Hi,

2008 pre-facelift L320

My dashboard top is starting to split around the passenger airbag.
Looking at options to fix, or replace.

Does the facelift dash fit, or is it completely different?
Has anyone changed theirs? L320 Range Rover Sport 2008

It does fit but you have to change a lot of parts, I did this to my old 2008 L320.

There was literally nothing information wise out there so I had to do a bit of trial and error.

I never got around to completely finishing it due to selling the car.

Essentially you need:-

Top dash part
Instrument cluster surround inner and outer
Centre console
Gear selector surround which the connectors plug in straight swap.
The terrain response controls needs the old circuit board putting in the new one if that makes sense.
Parking brake switch swaps over.
Fridge also swaps over
The side panels of the centre console are different
There’s also a centre panel that’s different to where the climate control and other bits are (can get you a picture)
Original stereo needs stripping down so it’s just the radio part and hiding
Screen swapping over with connector
Clock and lights wiring up - the buttons for menu etc will not work.
The air vents
Gearstick and surround - can swap the green part for release the shifter as one is longer than the other.

Top glove box needs swapping over and The only issue I haven’t worked out yet is the light switch as it’s worked differently. I’ve hidden the old one and set it on auto for now.

I may continue with the split in the dash.
