Hi Everyone,

Been a member of the Disco3.co.uk forum for over 10 years. Have owned ever Discovery series upto D3 (which I owned 3 up until 2019) includinga brand new DiscoverySport in 2017 which was disappointing. SWAMBO and I have travelled overland in South Africa, one trip was over 6000 miles in 2016. I had a great deal of experience on the D3 but sold the last one in 2019.

The love hate relationship has meant we found we cannot live without a Landrover so we have gone all comfy and just bought ultimate luxury in a 2016 L494 SDV6 Autobiography with 65,000 miles. Look forward to help and contributing where I can.

Guess I should be upgrading my Nanocom if a firmware patch is available, or alternatively getting GAP tool or take advice here? Are wiring diagrams freely available as no doubt self service is going to become the norm again🤣

Hoping to get some pointers or heads up for a TDV6 (276 DT) i.m new here and not that pc friendly but doing my best

I recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE with the infamous engine of terror (so it seems). The lump is solid so not even gonna look further just going to replace it complete.

The replacement lump i sourced has only 62k miles on it, but i'm going to change the oil pump, complete cambelt and full set of tensioners and idlers and even the water pump. (as the engine will be out).

The oil pump is by Fai
The belt kits by Dayco

Is there a recommended water pump brand ?

Is there anything else i should do whilst this lump is out?

And an interesting question... Is there any known common faults with the passenger seat on these models? Seems someone has had the seat to pieces, cut cables and undone plugs all underneath. At first i thought is was to possible renew a heat pad perhaps but whoever did this loved wire cutters. I have removed the seat and i'm going to test the motor and switchgear before repairing it further.

I'm Ali, I picked up a 2010 RRS HSE TDV6 today. Managed to drive it the 80 miles home and then got stuck in a petrol station with a EPB Fault, about a mile from home. That plus lots of white smoke when I accelerate hard(ish).

I'm sure there'll be lots of useful content on the forum from other owners who've experienced the same, so I'm off to do some reading.

Welcome - D350 L461 MY24 is best yet in my opinion. Hopefully your battery drain problems will be sorted soon.
