How come out of interest? Must admit now the buzz of the launch has gone, I’m not sure how keen I still am either…

Got an Urus Performante so wont be changing now. I also feel these will be a depreciation disaster due to the insurance issue. Many I know in a supercar group are pulling out. There will be quite a few of these available “off the shelf” soon.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Maybe LR are seeing many/most of the prospective buyers for this vehicle pull out and have decided it's not worth building for the remaining few. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Im hearing its the insurance issue. Many are cancelling as unable to insure regular range rovers so one can only imagine how much this beast is going to cost to insure - that too if you manage to get a quote from an inurer Rolling with laughter

Anybody else received news of further delays on their SV Sport? Mine has been pushed back 6 weeks.

Really getting to the point of cancelling. I’m very nervous about depreciation…initially I thought they’d be ‘immune’ but given insurance and the general market conditions I’m not sure…

Nothing was communicated to me in typical JLR style. So I asked - now saying estimated March 2024. As I said earlier Im most likely out anyway.

I have now officially cancelled my order. Been told 4 out of the 6 my dealer was allocated have now been cancelled.

Mostly due to the insurance issue but Im guesing that generally £200k for a range rover sport in this climate is one big depreciation disaster waiting to happen. I think a lot of the initial people on the bandwagon were going to be flippers but current market conditions are dictating that these wont have any premiums on them. Further more the off the shelf RRS SV will be announced soon too which will start at £150k.

On another note I was offered a GT3rs for £40k above list today - a massive massive drop from 3 months ago when they were £200k over list! Crazy times!

from this video, it sounds like it came off the showroom floor without any/very little oil in there.

If so, dealer is clearly at fault for not doing the PDI properly

Er, surely the factory is supposed to put oil in the transfer box (and gearbox, diffs, engine). So the fault lies there. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I think the SV will be an easy purchase. Matt Watson on Car Wow tried all comparison sites for insurance. He lives in London. Not one company would give him insurance. He then discussed LR Insurance & tried them. They also declined. Censored Big Cry Range Rover Sport: Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S

2 previously ‘sold’ SV’s at my local dealer are now available. Buyers backed out. Dealer phoned me and offered either, both have wonderful specs. I declined. The reviews I’ve watched on YouTube are generally positive but doesn’t seem the reviewers are excited as the previous gen given the reduced exhaust note and personality. 2020 SVR / R.I.P. 2019 SVR / 2016 D4 Landmark / 2005 D3 HSE

In the UK there are plenty of first edition ones at dealers available now. Insurance is a HUGE issue right now so yes lots and lots of cancellations. General view is also that the new car is not worth double of that of the old SVR. Pricing is a bit crazy Shocked

(Not political, not intended to start an exit/remain discussion) The loss of access to the common market had a big influence on the insurance situation. Being in the EU I can pick any insurance company from Portugal to Finland and as it happened, the best offer I got for my RRS was from a Latvian insurer, about half of what a leading Polish company offered. Regards etc.,
