Egr delete and remap

Hi all
I have a 2008 2.7 and I'm looking to delete the egr and remap. I've heard if you have a iid tool this can be done. Is this true?

Cheers Arron

Yes. contact Bell Auto Services in the UK. The patch is sent electronically to the IID tool and you apply it yourself. Pete

I was going to do this myself, does the remap get rid of the engine management light after blanking off the EGR?

You should be able to get the egr electronically mapped out so it stays closed. Improves drive ability and throttle response as the engine is getting clean air not used fumes. 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID

Apologies if this comes up twice, how does this affect the emissions for the MOT? RRS SDV6 HSE Black Edition +

you need to leave the EGR pipework in place (just insert the shims between the pipes and EGR/manifold so that at a glance they haven't been deleted. it's a MOT fail and illegal to tamper with emission equipment, not to mention problems with your insurer (and they may remove the engine cover if they have to inspect it, unlike the MOT tester who can't).

Yes if you tell Pete that you'v blanked the EGR and the EML light is on. He'll code it out. Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Use a company that actually maps out the egr valve so it stays shut that way you don’t need to blank anything, not just someone who turns off the engine light monitoring. 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID
