Annoying Interior Rattle From Rear on 2021 RR Sport!

Hi all,
I have had my 2021 Range Rover Sport from new last June and over the last few months there is a really annoying rattle coming from the rear of the car!

Any ideas of how to stop this as the dealer cant look at it until the end of March!!

It sounds like the rear roller load cover rattling but ive stripping out the back of the car 1 item at a time including removing rear roller load cover, wheel repair kit ( i dont have a spare), boot floor, seats down, seats up, arm rest down and up. etc but I can still hear the noise no matter what I try. Frustrating !!

Its so loud you can hear it over the stereo....

My 14 year old son says it sounds like its coming from the roof lining behind the rear seats? Im fairly certain it isnt the pano roof either.

Any ideas to try would be much appreciated.....

Very disappointing in a £75k vehicle that has only done 9000 miles!

Try some insulating tape around the fixing in the boot, sometimes the latch rattles against it. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

I had what sounds similar at the front of the roof lining on my last RRS (2019). After extensive investigation it turned out to be the pano roof that wasn’t sealed properly. It rattled more when the temperature was a bit warmer / sunny but it drove me nuts. I’ve posted extensively on it elsewhere on the forum so have a look for the posts and see if that might be the same for you but at the rear

I have a similar rattle from the rear of my SVR…likewise it is mega frustrating because it is so loud.. it sounds as though the tailgate is rattling in the hatch opening.
Under warranty JLR have replaced the complete rear tailgate as apparently they found cracks in it…however despite the huge expense of replacing it it still rattles…

It got so bad that I put my daughter in the boot to try and identify where it was coming from. She diagnosed that it was coming from below the boot floor. It she pushed back on the tailgate the noise stopped.

Anyway we are still none the wiser despite placing anti rattle tape on the underside of all the lower trim panels.. so if you do find it then please share …I would love to know!

It went into local Range Rover dealership last week and they have narrowed it down to either roof ladder around pan roof or the pan roof itself that is rattling.

They are having it back for 3 days next week to put right, fingers crossed......

Car is only 9 months old and done 9000 miles, very frustrating, sounds like im driving an old truck not a nearly new Range Rover Sport!

Taken 6 months to sort but Range Rover have sorted it, turned out that the hinges on the boot had dropped and that is what was making the rattle. Sturgess Range Rover sorted it all under warranty.
Car now feels and sounds like it should again:)

my son had the same problem with his new r/rs it was traced to the pipe that takes the water to the rear washer and is above the roof lining. Hope this helps
