Jacking with Trolley Jack

Hi, I'm replacing all 4 wheels on my RRS so I've bought an SGS 3T trolley jack (as recommended in another post I found). Can I use the normal jacking points with this trolly jack? They look like solid steel to my untrained eye!

Perfect - Thanks

I'd seen mention in other posts of lifting from the suspension arms but looking underneath I couldn't really be sure about where the jack should go to do this.

Will I need a pad or something to avoid metal on metal contact using the jacking point?

A pad or suitable block of wood would be good to spread the load and avoid superficial damage to the jack pad to your shiny new jack. Kev

Hi,
Ice hockey Pucks can work well as a jack pad as well

I will have fixed side steps on my car. Can anyone tell me if I can still use a jack to lift the car or will the side steps come in the way ?

Hi,
ours had fixed side steps (2016) and dont remember any issue with jacking points obstructed.

although I used to jack under the suspension arms anyway.
