Does the spare work ?

You could buy a programmer for £60 and a key for £20 which is cheaper than landrover

There maybe a wire splice joint (green wire) in the passenger sill that needs redoing or a receiver fault.

This is more likely than a battery fault.

Batteries charge when in the ignition or on an electric tooth brush base

I'm not sure early cars activate the central locking from the passenger barrel

I don't hold out much hope for your battery if it's down to 2 volts,,, maybe it's time for a new one 2010 RRS, TDV8

I've put 2 batteries on mine,,, plus the original som3 in total, I think your lucky if you get 4 years out of a battery,, the RR is quite greedy in that dept. I would get a smart charger on it for a couple of days and see if it comes back to life and I would make a habit of charging it at least once a week if your not using it. 2010 RRS, TDV8
