SDV6 288 vs SDV6 306?

Hi folks prospective used RRS owner here

Is there much noticeable difference between these 2 engines? For my budget I can get either from a LR dealer but the mileage on the 306 car will be a bit higher or lower spec

Not really driven the 288hp so cannot say.

The 306hp is smooth and has plenty of power!

I'd say the get the 306 version as it looks like it should be a very noticeable difference in performance. Even if you drive gently, the extra grunt is safer for overtaking, joining motorways etc.

 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
