EGR flap removal

So I capped off my EGR valves a while ago but never removed the flap so as I’m off for three weeks I thought I’d start off with an easy job I thought Shocked well done my research but my spindle will not pull out no matter how I try! Is there a trick to it? Steve

So I eventually removed the butterfly housing (don’t know why I didn’t do it in the first place) and managed to get the spindle out on the bench.....just. This did allow me to wash out all the oily gunge that was in it.

Well what a difference it’s made, much more flexibility, smoother on and off the throttle and quicker pickup.

Well pleased Very Happy Steve

I had mine done at my indie. Far to cold at this time of year to be rolling around. Glad you made progress though Thumbs Up 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

It was a balmy 13 degrees in the sunshine today with little chill to the wind Very Happy if I’d of know how easy the intake body was to take off it would of saved the struggles with inaccessible screws and made the job a doddle. Steve
