So I eventually removed the butterfly housing (don’t know why I didn’t do it in the first place) and managed to get the spindle out on the bench.....just. This did allow me to wash out all the oily gunge that was in it.

I had mine done at my indie. Far to cold at this time of year to be rolling around. Glad you made progress though 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

It was a balmy 13 degrees in the sunshine today with little chill to the wind if I’d of know how easy the intake body was to take off it would of saved the struggles with inaccessible screws and made the job a doddle. Steve
