Drive train knock

Good evening all.
I have a 2014 L494. I have a knocking coming from the drive train somewhere. It seems to happen after you hit a pot hole or have wheels off the road on the verge but only at slow speed. As you drive you can feel the vehicle almost jolting as you drive. It’s a difficult one to describe. I don’t know if it’s related but I also have what sounds like a suspension knock but that also seems to come and go and I can’t get it to knock every time. Anybody experienced anything similar?
Thanks

Bit more detail. I have worked out today that I think it is a dif locking up momentarily. It doesn’t start knocking until you hit a pot hole or spin a wheel on the verge. When I watch the 4x4 info you can see the difs light up briefly when it first starts.

Update for anyone else with similar problems. Vehicle went into main dealer last week as it was due a service anyway. They diagnosed a faulty transfer box. They have done a double flush (changed the oil twice) on the transfer box and it now all seems ok. There is a bulletin out for this fault LTB00906NAS4.

I'm surprised they change the oil twice but I guess they're using the first change to clean out any build up of sludge (or whatever the oil does when it deteriorates).

Hopefully that's solved the problem for you. Thumbs Up

Thanks for sharing with the forum, it helps us build up a knowledge base for the future. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
