Thanks Joe for the advice. Bow down Its on 45,000 miles would you still advise on an oil pump at that mileage if it ends up with the engine out.
Cheers

At that mileage, probably not. But an oil pressure test before engine removal won't hurt. If the test shows poor pressure, then maybe an inspection of the pump might be a good idea. If the pump looks good, then low(ish) pressure might be the sign of something else like leaking lifters, bearing wear or even a blockage. However, i'd be surprised if you had any problems at that mileage. Joe

Just following up on the original post. Diagnosis didn't show anything, not even an error code.
Can anyone advise if this is normal, as I wasn't imagining the warning light or error message on my dash.
Indy is checking if the warranty will cover it, if so, I'll get it changed, if not, then I'll wait and see if it happens again (it was after a 200 mile motorway journey).
Fingers crossed. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

I started this thread so hopefully here is a final (touch wood) update.

Advice from Indy was 'wait and see' after another long trip.

Just got back after a 650mile weekend in Scotland (5 hours each way) and not a peep, so fingers crossed it was just a blip. Warranty company wouldn't cover it anyway.

This was my first long trip with the car and I can only say I was very pleased with the ride, comfort and even MPG, mostly motorways at motorway speeds but a lot of town running around 4 up while there and I got 37 in total according to the dash. Better than expected for sure.
My lower back thanks profusely the seat designers, had two big Volvos previously and these seats are better for me for sure.

Thanks to all that posted. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014
