P400e tow bar

Well having rejected my first p400e, I have now bought another which so far is fine and dandy
I now have to go through getting a tow bar fitted again to this car and I am getting mixed info on whether a electrically deployable one can be fitted to a hybrid.
Has anyone here any knowledge on the subject
Thanks

No, the electrically deployable one isn't available because of the space taken by the battery. I believe that the tow bar is a dealer fit item, and that they use a removable two height unit which someone here said is made by Westfalia.

Ok, still trying to move forward and get a tow bar on my Hybrid, unfortunately the dealers info from JLR says only a fixed one is available but I had a quick release one fitted by Land Rover to the hybrid I rejected in January so I know they do one, my dealer has agreed to order one from the part numbers used on my rejected RRS and see what arrives with them.
I am hoping a quick release one does arrive 🤞🏻 Michael

Hi,
the one we had fitted to our 306 dynamic was classed as "A Fixed" towbar but it had a removable swan neck with a 2 bolt flange ball fitted, it was "very" much like the westfalia fitted to FFRR's

Thank you for that, the dealer has ordered one in to see if a quick release one turns up, if it does the next question to answer is with the Swan neck removed can the original lower bumper panel be reattached

Hi,
we had both cover panels but only ever used the standard None cut out type as preferred the look of the full panel

we did have to very slightly move the electrics plug, this was simple enough as it had 2 bolts, removed one moved the bracket about 10mm and nipped up the remaining bolt Whistle

When ever we towed just removed the cover panel and towed without it, when arrived at site always removed the bar and popped the caver panel back on, job done.

Thumbs Up

Our towbar had a swan neck with a 2 bolt flange ball, just seen another type fitted to a l494 and it was a full swan neck with ball all as one, the fitting company cut out a square so you could use the swan neck, it looked a right Censored took that off and a standard panel fitted without moving anything, although he will have to remove the panel to use the swan neck bar

Andy has posted a pic of his rear towbar/cross member fixing in another post as well.
