So I'm looking at replacing front and rear diff oils on the car, comma say that the f+r diffs both take the same 75/90 oil
Whilst other sites give a different LR part code for the rear oil if the car has an electronic locking diff (mine does I believe)

Despite having different part codes, both those oils are also 75/90

What's the correct thing to do here? Is there a difference in the oils or are we safe to use the standard Comma 75/90 in both?

As the drive line oil gets changes so infrequently , just use the proper Castrol stuff.

75w90 fully synthetic gear oil with an API service category of GL-5 is what you need for the front diff and also rear open (non-locking) diff.

If you have the electronic locking rear, you will need a different fluid specifically designed for multi-disc locking diffs. I'm not sure what the actual technical spec is for this, but LR originally specified Castrol SAF – Carbon Mod Plus. This is no longer manufactured and I believe Castrol BOT 720 is the superseding product. Equivalents from other brands would be Ravenol MDL and Rock Oil Gearaxl MDL.

0.6 litres in the front diff, 1.1 litres in a non-locking rear or 1.8 litres in an electronic locking rear. Kev
