Yeah definitey strange - these are all Sandisk USBs as well direct from Amazon (not a 3rd party reseller).

What model of USB was yours?

Its strange that formatting them in Mac OS X makes the exact same drive work rather than if I format it in Windows 10 1909 both FAT32.

V.Strange and the thing is they were working fine under 19B!!! 19C something went wrong which would correlate with the posts on the Disco forum! Non JLR Vehicle

Lol I'm with you on that.

They are all different sizes of Ultra Fit models so might try a different type, I just like the Ultra Fit's as they're tiny and sit neatly in the slot without much fuss!

Or might try a different batch not direct from Amazon. Then again who knows. Will see what I find! Non JLR Vehicle

Hi guys

Where are you getting the map updates from? I have used satnavupgrades in the past when they were dvd's but now I think its USB and activation key.

I asked him and he sends out a USB with the key already pre formatted and he looks to send out Sandisc Kingston 16gb 32gb 64gb USB.

Also you guys could try this https://www.diskpart.com/free-partition-manager.html as this allows you to format in different styles

Hope this might help? I think drives larger that 32GB need to be formatted in exfat which is kinda the same as FAT but might be worth a try.

You could try running Mac OS in a virtual machine on your PC (not licenced)

Yeah just to round this thread off, it looks like it was a faulty batch of USBs from Ebuyer.

Strange as they worked fine in PCs and MACs but if you plugged them into the car it had a fit and just had it showing greyed out.

Went back to some older stock from Amazon and they all worked fine.

Going to see how many of them are a bit funny and then put in a claim to Ebuyer!!! Non JLR Vehicle
