Some lovely dogs here

Here's ours. She's a 4 year old Lab that is an ex breeder. She had never been into a house until we got her.

Hiyas Gandalf
She looks Gorgeous. What a great score for you

What have you called her ?

She looks like a "Misty" to me, in need of a bit of trimming, grooming and pampering for her benefit only of course Wink

I firmly beleve that rescue dogs are the most appreciative and rewarding to own, and after the multi owner history, it may take a while for her to trust, as I do that you will not be another passing owner.

Well done to you both and give her a little cuddle on behalf of someone you dont know but does know Dog 1st, Dog 2nd and gets the Idea

Thumbs Up

Hiyas again Gandalf

Still working out breed descriptions to the really lovely pictures of your clearly happy and spoiled dogs

Yea, we also recently lost one of ours too RIP Jerry Lee.
He was the worlds greatest dog and companion to us.
But we take comfort in the great and super spoiled life we gave him.
Even the VET called him the FAT ONE Wink

As a dog 1st, 2nd and so on you are really going to want a box of tissues for what i have to tell you next.
I was so shocked to read that you named this dog Poppy.
Misty, Scuffy, Shaggy even wild or free roaming naming would have done

But the Name Poppy is quite close to my heart.

Allow me to introduce you to my Poppie

How I came to be blessed with her is explained in at least some base detail on this thread

Time to reach for the tissues I said you would need and give your Poppy the cuddle I asked you to give her.

Warmest regards from one dog first second and last person to another Thumbs Up

Wales

This is more-or-less our lot:

Back left and back right are collie/kelpie crosses. In the middle are a Bulgarian rescue and a terrier cross rescued from Ireland. Front right is my mother-in-law's dog.

We've just rescued Angel from Romania:

My wife and daughter went to volunteer at a dog rescue centre in Romania and came back disgusted. Angel had an eye that had been missing for months and was being picked up by the tail by another dog and smashed on the ground. One dog had chip fat poured on it. My wife paid for a local vet to stitch Angel's eye, but after a couple of months back here, our vet found it had been done very badly - using fishing line and with the eyelashes growing into the socket.

We also have forty-eight rabbits that my daughter shows.

Some have been in Midsomer murders.

As the 'hero' rabbit that was kidnapped...

My wife was an extra but the rabbits got paid a lot more!

That white rabbit is also Sherlock Holme's rabbit in the forthcoming film with Will Ferrell and Rob Brydon. I was surprised to learn that Will Ferrell is a really very nice polite chap - but then he is an actor Very Happy
