England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Question regarding oil changes

Couple of quick questions for you all out there in RRS land......

Have any of you used a pump to pump out the engine oil (via the dipstick) and if so which one have you got?

The reason for asking is that I would need to change the oil on the roadside outside my house so need to try and reduce the chances of any oil spills on the road/pavement.

I figure a pump would be the best option for this as it is hopefully more controllable than via the sump plug. 2006 RRS HSE 2.7 TDV6 (The Baby one as I keep being told)

Ireland 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black

+1 for the Draper
Draper 77057 Manual and Pneumatic Oil Extractor

i got one this year.
great job and very quick.

i always did the 2.7l the traditional way but that was when sump plugs were fitted in normal place to drain.
.... but then the 3.0 sump plug is a bitch to get off and not have oil go every where due to the cross member proximity to the oil exit flow 2007 TDV6 RRS HSE..now gone

Hi, I use an extractor to vacuum out the oil via the extraction port. Oil and filter takes about 30 minutes.
