The only place you might be able to suck the oil out is through the breather pipe on the left side of the engine near the air filter box. But unless you have a very slim and flexible tube, you won't get to the sump as the breather pipe has a few bends in it.

The pipe mentioned is the way most garages extract the oil. I have done it numerous times and it gets 6 litres out without problem.

Many thanks for all your replies. I’m going give the extraction method a go. It would only make sense to me go the sump plug way if the oil filter was down below as well. |
