Nope, the fix didn't last long, guess the switch is u/s after all.
Replaced with a new one today, so far no intermittent alarm activations.
My son and I will replace the door lock later this week.
Tomorrow taking it for Roadforce balancing and full alignment.
The car feels better the more I drive it.... :whistle

Drivers door latch now replaced and locking system fixed.
I took it for a full Hunter Alignment and Road force set up on Wednesday, the difference in handling and quietness is really noticeable.
They also re-calibrated the steering angle sensors and the difference this also seemed to make to the overall ride was greatly improved.
Still got a slight wobble on braking at slower speeds, so the front discs and pads are being changed by my son tonight, assuming they arrive on time today.
I think after that, the wallet is being given a rest .

Got the chance to put my newly acquired IID BT tool to work when I got the Suspension fault -Lean when cornering message.
Threw up Code C1A97-62 Lateral accelerometer circuit- Algorithm based failure -signal compare failure.
Once located, (underneath the drivers door on the sill), I removed it, looked like somebody had copiously covered it in underseal or gunk of some sort, cleaned it off, replaced, cleared the fault and so far it has not come back.https://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I've been away on some long business trips, during this time, the wife has had the misfortune to suffer quite a few issues with the Sport, to which she finally gave in and sold it in my absence!
She said she was anxious about every time she got in and turned the ky, she would get the 'Bong'
So now I'm now no longer an owner
Which leaves me deciding what to do with the IID tool.
Thanks to every one and the forum for all the info, advice and help given.
I'll still be a lurker.

Yes, very short ownership, which I was embracing and enjoying, even with the usual multiple issues.
The Sport was originally purchased as a second car for both my wife in addition to our newer motors and to use for everyday tasks, i.e. putting the dog in after muddy walks, leaving at the airport etc, but sadly it didn't work out.
I obviously enjoyed it more than the Mrs!

Anyway, another day sometime....
