Thanks fkarim and Paddi.

Can you please tell me how you accessed the relay behind the glove box? I presume that is from inside the vehicle?

Yes, from inside. Empty the glove box and pull the side walls inwards (check the handbook for exact instructions). It will drop down. Fuse box on the left. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Much appreciated. It might be weekend before I get to it but I am determined to get this working.

There is a small lever on the left. Push it in to release on my 2012 model. Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Update, for anyone that might be interested in this:

1. Dropped the glove box and removed the relay
2. Made up a short link (spade connectors £1.99 for 10 at Maplin's)
3. Fitted it and IT WORKS.

When the car has gone back to sleep the centre and rear sockets now remain powered.

I now have the larger solar powered maintenance charger (2.4W) connected and doing it's stuff. I will try to leave it for a few days and see if it tops the battery up.

Thanks for everyone's input, I will post again when I see if it actually does what I need it to.

Thumbs Up

Isn't the port hidden on newer RRS? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.
