Fitting side steps

The drivers side step on my 2010 L320 has gone mushy where I stand on it to get in the car. Flakes of rust have started to appear on the driveway so I suspect they are past it.
I have done a search and have seen recommendations for replacements Thumbs Up
Bearing in mind there are brackets etc already on the car, is it simply a case of reusing these and swapping out the actual steps or will the brackets be different and need replacing as well?
I have no idea if the steps fitted are genuine LR or aftermarket as they were on when I bought it.
Any insight from anyone who has done this is appreciated.

Swapped mine out a while ago , for the same reason as you
The brackets I found to be the exact same , so cleaned them up and left the original ones in place .
The new steps slid on and bolted up no problem Thumbs Up

did the exact same also. Car set to full height, impact gun zipped the old bolts off. Cleaned up the brackets and fitted the new ones. Spray some WD40 or washing up liquid along the edge of the new runners when putting them on, to just help slide them into place.

Mine came from here: https://turborevs.org.uk/side-steps-runnin...sport.html

£99.99 with free delivery.

I noticed when I had the car up on ramps the other week, they were rusting underneath so probably worth coating in a bit of hammerite on the underside prior to fitting. Kev

Those were the ones I was looking at Kev. I take your point about protecting the underside.
