Wiring can run down the windscreen pillar trim as my loom does for my roof rack spotlights if they go on the roof 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

The other thing with these is you get what you pay for, these cheap lightbars and spotlights rarely last very long before the leds fail or they fill with water!! Better to buy from a well known company and you know it will last and be as bright as the company claim it is 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I'm going to start off with a cheap 32" one fitted to the bumper: it may not be as effective as a 50" one fitted to the roof but the wiring is less complicated and the relay can be put in parallel with that for the driving lights and, therefore, under the control of the pukka switch on the dash; mounting it on the roof is more complicated and noisy.
