Greetings All,

So i'm the proud new owner of a RRS 2011 HSE (may be a Lux but don't know enough to say for certain)

Mainly joining to hopefully iron out a few minor issues and get some tips and advice for hopefully many years of happy motoring.

I will post these seperately but since i'm here:

1) Is it normal for the parking sensors to sometimes work and sometimes not (i'm guessing no) could that be a dying sensor or a break in a wire?

2) with the boot release on the key, does it just pop the boot so you can open it? or should it open the boot fully?

3) Where can i update the software? the Satnav is very out of date and while i know i can go to Landrover and get them to do it, figure there must be a cheaper option. Also what software would i need or version? (how do i even find out what version i have lol)

As you can tell still very much a noob when it comes to the car (only had it 1 full day)

Does rhe range have a cam belt or chain? I know for the gear heads this may be a silly question but i honestly need the help.

If its a belt when should it be changed? The miles on mine are currently 82k

I have a 2018 RRS diesel autobiography

Have tbh ive had numerous issues with it which has been so disappointing as it was my dream car!

Looking to see if anyone has had the same issues

Firstly the entertainment system constantly failing/freezing, radio losing reception, camera not working. I’ve had numerous updates but doesn’t make any difference.

Service indicator has been on for a few weeks (6000 miles). After waiting a month to get the car looked at about the reaccuring entertainment system issues, I asked JLR to see why the warning signal is on. I’ve been told it’s due to an oil dilution problem and I need to pay £550 for a service.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I purchased the car brand new back in June 2018. Seriously regretting my decision!
