Hey. I'm back. It's been a long time. Bought a brand new '58 plate RRS HSE 2.7TD in 2008, but sold it in 2011.

I'm just about to purchase a year old L494. Currently looking for a 17 or 67 plate SDV6 3.0 in Black or Grey.

Happy enough with the basic spec but I do want a fixed pano roof.

I'll report back with pics when I get it. I've been mad for flipping years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks.

If the car you are looking at has the Ebony interior then the panoramic roof lightens the interior a huge amount. Some people say not to go for the opening roof as there is a large bar across the roof where the opening panel seals and that houses the motor. The full length fixed one is really nice to have and there is a full length electrically operated blind that you can close on sunny days - I don’t know if the opening roof option has electric shades or manually operated. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'm a long time lurker who has recently purchased my first RR Sport.
It was advertised on the forum & subsequently purchased!
It's a 2007 TDV8 in Silver, it appears to have been looked after well over the years, I've got it booked into my local specialist for a service & a good look over to check historical error codes etc.
After hours & hours over the years reading the wealth of information on the forum, I'm looking forward to joining in occasionally!

Hi Guys... just bought a 08 RRS, 61km one owner.. autobiography body kit.. looks so nice in Java black... picking it up tomorrow, just hope its as good as it looks.. Bought a TD5 new back in 2004 and it was the only car that i had to carry a tool kit just in case.. and every journey was a lottery whether it would reach the destination.. fingers crossed look forward to contributing where i can............

I have a RRS TDV8 on a 2009 plate. I’m currently in SW France and she’s started going into limp mode every now and then. Message comes up on dash saying Engine system failure. Pull in turn the engine off and take key out leave it a few mins turn it back on and the fault clears and off we go - could be 100 miles or 10 miles before it does it again - no obvious pattern.

Both turbos were replaced about 6000 miles ago by a LR main dealer before I bought her. She’s just come out of a LR specialist in the SE having had the handbrake module replaced along with all the rear discs and pads etc ( £2k )

I don’t really want to go into a French garage as the last time I got, well less said really........

I’ve checked the turbo hoses and the hoses to and from the inter cooler and can’t see and cracks or splits. I’m thinking the actuators could be a bit sticky so wondering how I get to them to give them a squirt of WD40?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

I've joined the clan from the D3 side.

It needs a re-map and a couple of other sutle mods, but otherwise a 62 plate with 27,000 miles I can't really complain

 RRS 2012 HSE Lux Alive stage 1 remap. timed heater, General Grabbers, sump guard
D3 with BAS & general grabbers (gone)
Defender with 3 winches and other subtle mods (gone)

I’m Matt and I’ve just purchased a 2010 3.6 RRS IN BLACK..think I paid a reasonable price as I’ve waited a month and followed the advert and struck when I thought the time was tight
He wanted @£12,000 but I did a deal for £10,500 with just under 100,000 miles fully RR service history...allways wanted a RRS so I’m hoping my experience won’t be let down
Where can I get a spare key bought and programmed please
