proff steering rack rrs

hi ,i have a problem with my steering rack on my rr sport v8 diesel 57 plate ,ive been told that the land rover discovery 3 v6 diesel has the same steering rack ,i look at them and the only difference i can see is the electrical plug near the top ,can any advise me if they are the same.thanks ray.

arh yes, the D3 doesn't have variable assistance so best to stick with an RRS one
