There must be plenty in the breakers with all the engines that keep self destructing, that's got to be the best route . Nanocom Evo |

Thanks Jaggs. I have seen some on eBay as well. Just wanted to see if there were any other suggestions. |

The leak is from the windscreen pillar - there is a LR advice on it - easy fix that you can do yourself with some new clips, some sealing foam, sealer - basically the water runs down the inside of the pillar trim and into the holes in the pillar where the trim clips onto the pillar - seals the holes where the clips go in and you stop the water.

Buy a secondhand unit from eBay and fit it yourself, there are videos on you tube showing how to access it and its pretty straightforward. |

Mine did this quite often, you could adjust the volume, see the numbers counting up, change channel and source, etc, but no audio output. I would disconnect the battery for a few seconds to fix it, problem went away when i replaced the battery. |

Garry, thanks for this tip. I will investigate. It's quite amazing and quite annoying to take your car to these garages, and after first charging you about £100+ per hour to investigate/diagnose the cause of the problem and tell you 'what the cause is' and then charge you hundreds to fix it, only for the problem to still be there and turns out eventually to something simple that should have cost a few pounds to fix!!! |

Hello d-9, what battery are you referring to? If it's the main car battery, this was replaced with a new one under 2 years ago! |

I don't believe there is one. The only thing under the seats (the front passenger's) is the unit for the sat nav disc |

I understand there is a hard reset for the electrics in the vehicle by removing the positive and negative battery leads and holding them together for 10 seconds to drain the capacitors, maybe worth a try before shelling out more cash Nanocom Evo |
