Has anyone ever replaced the rear anti roll bar bushings?

Hey guys,

Just wondering because I took a stab at it and got as far as getting the bolts off but as hard as I tried (and yes I watched the AB video on YouTube) those clamps could not be persuaded off the bar.... After a good while of prying, levering and trying I could not get the clamps off. I was left with no other option but to re-secure the bolts and leave it as is.

If anyone has done this on their own I'd love to hear from you and how you did it.

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

I've changed them on mine and it's a simple as it looks.. I can't remember for certain but I think there are 3 bolts holding each clamp, so maybe you hadn't removed all the bolts?
Alternatively it could simply be that the rubber bushes have fused to the clamp, so might be worth releasing the clamps, cover with wd40 and leave to soak over night before having another crack at it.

Thanks Socast,

Nope, there are only 2 bolts, I am sure of it. Should be the same for your year and model.

Admittedly, I was doing all of this at a friends shop and it was getting late so he wanted to go home. Had we had more time to let the bushings and clamps soak in WD40 I'm sure they would have come off easily. Oh well, at least now we know what we're in for. We'll try again later when we have more time.
