Went out to the car this morning, had not used it for a week, and had suspension fault pop up.
Lifted the bonnet and discovered a F**King Squirrel had nested on the radiator and chewed through a small rubber tube, presumably something to do with the air suspension.
Do you think this is a DIY repair or trip to the stealers.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I don't think suspension pipes would be that high up.

Suspension light maybe due to low battery, not being used.

Maybe a coolant pipe

Battery should be good, it is on a Ctek when not being used.

Years ago I had a Volvo 480ES (most unreliable car I have ever owned). I was able to get it inside my garage and I went off to sea for 7 months................. those were the days when I could go away that long and the car's battery was not dead when I came home!

My previous cars had been Rovers for many years and I always left a drip tray under the engine when I went away as they leaked a drip or 5 every week. So I continued the habit with the Volvo. After my next trip I got home and found the drip tray wasn't full of oil but full of insulation foam and tiny bits of wiring insulation........... Popped the bonnet open and there wasn't a bit of sound / heat insulation left On the underside of it. I then had a check of the exposed wires and found lots and lots of tiny nibbles - my car had been attacked by a family of tiny field mice as I found one dead one on the garage floor. Had to call the Volvo dealer before moving the car and just as well I did. They sent out a mechanic with a recovery truck and he found that the nibbled wires included the battery cables! He reckoned that if I had tried to start the car there would have been a fire under the bonnet. The car was dragged out of the garage on a winch wire and recovered to the dealership. That car had something that at the time I think was unique to Volvo - a LifeTime warranty and I was amazed that the dealer had contacted Volvo UK and they paid for the entire car to be taken to their HQ for investigation, re-wiring and to have new insulation fitted and I was loaned another 480 while the car was under repair - that was about the only good service that I had from Volvo while I owned the car!

Check that in addition to nibbling the hose that no wiring has been nibbled. I assume that the squirrel climbed up under the car to gain access so what might it have had a go at on the way up to building it's new warm and dry home????? The suspension fault might be because you have a nibbled wire somewhere, you know how sensitive to electric issue RRS is. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well I put the IID in and got the following faults.ARCM-Active Roll

I am guessing the pipe that has been chewed is something to do with the Active roll system.

I would say that the front left height sensor wiring has been chewed probably as Tim said on the way up and that is causing the other code as a direct result of the fault with the height sensor. Clickadeeclick

Yes seems likely the height sensor has been chewed but I would like to know what the rubber tube is that the bloody squirrel has eaten that runs across the top of the rad, I presume that has something to do with the active roll fault. MY13.5 Autobiography, Santorini Black, Privacy Glass. Gone

Just an update,
The pipe was a vacuum pipe, something to do with linking the turbos, so had that replaced and a ride height sensor and now all good.
Had the rear pads replaced at the same time, cost £277 all in.
