Sat Nav updates

Hi Can anyone tell me how to get an update for my Range rover sport 2011 as i have spoken with the dealers and they are at the moment at a loss to what to do with the Hard disc nav system? I have had a look on NAVEQ and it says refer to dealer ????

Some places say its a disc update and some say a software update just need to know what i have to do as i of only just purchased this motor and need to get an update done?

Thanks Smile

only a main dealer can update the hard drive using firewire....the latest update is 2014 with no further updates scheduled ''

cost around £165 i believe..

before you ask there are no 'hacks' or cheaper alternatives, except a tomtom/garmin.....

Thats great thanks would rather go to Main dealer as always worried about cheap updates etc and the damage they can do!

Quite happy with that price if i can get it as have been told by one place looking at £300 +

Smile Thumbs Up

You can do this yourself using official update at same price, but it takes a long time to upload, supplied on USB stick. (Year dependant) Some LR Dealerships will supply you maps to upload yourself and a licence key. My dealership don't do updates but will supply you the maps on a USB stick and activation code to do yourself. (Even though it says on site a dealer has to do them).
Official supplier: http://landrover.navigation.com/web/WFS/Sh...me=Catalog
For 2010-2013 models http://landrover.navigation.com/product/Ca...erEMEA/GBP
The above is for Hard Drive Navigation systems, CD versions on earlier cars are still available much cheaper.
Although it may say 2016 version update, the POIs are updated but the maps, as already stated are still 2014 for some unknown reason. Censored John
