Hi firstly I would like to wish all you all happy new year, now down the info I am looking for, last year I changed the original rear tail gate struts for a pair I purchased from SGS engineering which turned out to be load of s**t, I have now purchased another original pair, I know the original struts are handed and the information printed on them are coloured blue and red and part numbers are different, can anyone tell me or pop out to there car and tell me which strut fits left and right as the sgs one are same number and not colour coded, I also notice the original pair are different lengths, I just want to make sure before I fit which strut fits which side, thanks

Hi, I gave SGS the correct part numbers and the units seemed fine after fitting but within weeks I was lifting the tail gate myself and the wife could not lift it, still waiting for someone to confirm for me which side fits which hand with the original ones,

I never knew they were handed which ones go where lol

That was my original question. The information and part numbers printed on the struts see different colours. I want to know which one fits right or left. Simple enough if someone willing to pop outside and check

http://www.tailgatestruts.com have finally replied and want me to send the struts back to them so they can check the pressure in them as it would appear that the struts just need a little bit of extra pressure putting in them.

I advised them that apparently the specs of the left and right handed oncs are different at:


LH 0215WZ 0755N 350/09 CC35
and 6H32-406A10-BB

RH 6759YC F3 0783N 349/09 AD07
and 6H32-406A10-AB

LH = 755 newtons
RH = 783 Newtons
(as indicated within the part numbers above)

as I said regarding SGS struts, s**t, mine failed after few months, and I sent them the correct part numbers, try and get originals, will fit mine in morn and let you know how these work,
