I had clouds of black smoke and it was indeed due to a split intercooler pipe (the one on top of the 2.7 V6). |

Yes, that's the correct PN for the main hose, but I'd suggest you buy a set of silicone ones. Easy as pie to replace the main hose. 2 jubilee clips and 4 plastic rivets. The left-hand, large one is not too bad, the little one is a PITA. The main one is the most common failure, though the others have been known to fail. When this happened to me I replaced all the hoses (except the small one) with silicone ones, and had the EGRs blanked, but the problem was a split in the outer casing of the inter cooler. |
