My fan (screen blower) fails to start up for a few minutes in the morning...

Same here unless I put it on defrost mode. Although I've also had the fan continue to run after the ignition was off and tapped the relay under the bonnet which stopped it immediately. Maybe the two are related and the relay is struggling to switch itself on or off

I believe it's a feature to stop the car being pumped full of cold air until the heaters are up to temperature.

Hi guys, i have the same problems particularly when it's colder, I replaced the final stage resistor last week and the problem still persists.

Try swapping the relay with another. Fairly common problem |

Thank very much for the relay advice, took it out the other day to get a replacement but couldn't get one so put old one back in and since then it's worked fine with no faults. |

Any standard 4 pin relay would do the trick. How long it lasts, of course, will be quality dependant. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
