Yes it was fine when I bought it from what I can gather, I was like a kid in a sweet shop though Only paid attention to the gizmos the other day and seen the message. Just to confirm both sides do not move at all and the passenger side is lower than the drovers side. I tried my code reader but it couldn't read the codes I've only got a bog standard ob2 reader. I will try the guy in maghul and see what he says.

Hopefully it'll be something simple like a leaking reservoir or a valve block that is leaking and causing the system to try to stay level and thus exhausting the reservoir. Both would be relatively cheap (in the scheme of RRS repairs). A new strut or compressor would be a more expensive fix, sadly.

Thanks guys ill keep you's posted. Ive had a quick look around at new compressors and seen some videos on youtube on how to replace seems straight forward. Cost of pump is £600 which i can live with. Has anyone replaced their compressor before and able to offer any advise?

£400 on ebay just need to look into 'the job' now. I hope this sorts it out. Do I need to replace the piping etc aswell? the kit on ebay has a relay and pipe work. Also would I need a software update?

Careful - the cheaper ones are often/usually the older model compressor. You need to compare like for like when comparing prices.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

The kit with the pipe work and relay, is almost certainly going to np be the newer AMK compressor that's the one you want.
Easy enough to replace yourself

You don't always 'need' the software update, it is probably going to work ok but it is definitely recommended to have the proper AMK software update.

Hi guys just a quick update.

I have just got back from MT Autos in Liverpool, Great guys and very helpful! I told them my concerns and what I presumed to be a compressor failure. After martin had had a look at the range rover he said he wouldn't like to say what was wrong with it until he had put it into the computer. After plugging it in to his computer the suspension raised to access height and works no problem at all! goes up and down. He has advised that there is a error in communication with something, he did say but I can't remember what exactly and advised I take it to another garage on friday to have his computer sort it out once and for all, as they have the proper system. The engine management light is now on which wasn't on prior as is the airbag light. The suspension raising slowly message has gone but has been replaced with parking brake fault

Interesting update. If I was you, I'd get them to log all the fault codes the diagnostics machine brings up then clear them all. Drive it round for a week and see what faults come back as a lot of them maybe in there from previous years ownership with the car. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

The faults where cleared at MT Autos and the suspension released its self somehow and now works? But I have the engine management light on along with the air bag light and a parking brake warning message. I have to take it to another garage on friday with the proper system for them to rest all the parameters and stuff for them to diagnose it properly. Whats the score with a software update reset or an ecu flash? as I think that's what MT Autos did to get the suspension working again, Compressor seems to be fine and works as it should?

Cant help you on the ECU Flash. Never had one done or never needed to. A full reset of codes sorts it for me at my local indie. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Update:

Just got back from the 4x4 specialists and after they plugged the car into their super computer they have confirmed that the air compressor functions but is weak, they cleared all the faults and took it for a drive. When they returned from the short drive a few faults came back, the electric parking light came back on and the airbag light. The parking warning light is an intimating sensor or module fault and the air bag light is a connection on the seat/seatbelt. Other than that the car is fine he said and worth every penny I paid for it which was reassuring as I was wondering what the hell I had bought. So the electric hand brake light I can live with and the seat connect also, but what would peoples thoughts be on having the compressor replaced like for like as advised by the specialists and not the new pump upgrade. He said that hitachi had reviewed the replacement kit and revamped their new hitachi pump which is just as good if not better. The plus side is that you don't need to replace all the pipes and do the software etc and should make my life a little easier if I decide to do the job myself. I asked for a quote on the parking brake and seat belt fix and I nearly fell to the floor! Parking brake module supply and fit was £800 and the airbag issue would be around £300 but he needs to confirm the actual issue before hand. Whilst I was there he said my lower arm bushes where worn and would need replacing soon at a cost of £750. All issues fixed and a service £2400!
