Hi, the brake pad warning came on my TDV8 a couple of weeks ago, the rears had done approx 60k and the fronts 38k and I thought 'fair enough'. Turned out it was a broken sensor and the fronts are still l'ike new' (the indy's words) and the rears still have around 20k left. I drive twisty hilly roads too so dont know about going through pads quicker than other cars. Cheers Regards, Marty

Whilst painting my calipers this week on MY10 i noticed that only one side, the passengers side has the clip and wire attached to the brake for the wear indictor.

I would not dream of selling a car with a brake warning light on. I would be wondering what else the guy has not bothered to do .... |

There is only one front and one rear sensor. Front passenger side and rear driver side. The theory is left/right should wear evenly under normal circumstances. |
