First of Hello, Im new to the forum.
i recently bought a 57 plate black RR sport with hst kit etc. Im liking it but Im a worrier.
Anyway the car has 96k on the clock and all seems fine, no advisories on recent MOT and drives well.
Except that when the engine is under load I get quite a lot of vibration, which seems to be coming from the drivetrain, i.e. travels through the middle of the car.
The car has 22" wheels so I know this can be an issue but if I were traveling fast without my foot on the gas it stops, so its ONLY happening when under load, usually at over 70 mph.

Is this common and I should stop worrying or could it be a problem?
does it sound like a wheel problem, though i think it's not because it doesnt happen when coasting at speed?

PLEASE HELP as I want to enjoy my car.

Should I panic or just go to an indie and let em have a look?
I feel that it may be best if somebody more in the know test drove to confirm.

If your unsure about an indi then try main dealer, I understand you can get the centre bearing after market but never fitted one so don't know what there like to fit.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

i have booked into Stratstones for a free health check (i will keep an open mind on the results as i don't intend spending money for things that may not be required) but I will ask them to look at this at the same time, i already mentioned it to the service dept when i booked it in and he said they will test drive it and let me know.

they said it could be the wheels even if it doesn't happen when coasting so i will wait and see.

the outcome could help me to decide if i go for 20" wheels over the current 22" that are on the car.

Having had several discussions with wheel suppliers and garages etc.
I took a gamble and lashed out £1,800-00 on a new set of OE Range Rover HSE 20" wheels with new conti tyres and new wheel nuts.
Took the car out tonight for a little thrash around the lanes and up the motorway and tbh it felt like a different car, Im not going to say it's perfect and I certainly didnt enjoy spending that sort of money but IMHO 20" wheels on a RR sport is the way to go.
I say this even if there is still any underlying problem that causes minor vibration under load but the ride just seemd so much smoother, especially when coasting it was as smooth as silk.

They dont look too terible either and the 22" Overfinch style with my Toyo Proxes are now on the bay.
I took the troble of getting the wheel supplier to check each wheel individually for structural damage and apart from minor scuffing, he said they were fine, so for somebody who prefers a bit of bling over a smoother ride and wants some tyres with loads of life, there is a bargain to be had. p.m me for pics or info.

have your gearbox oil changed /flushed and add some doctor tranny sooner rather than later ,and im quite sure your vibration under load will be gone  silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

That sounds like a plan, as it's now so much better with just a slight shudder at around 50 mph and then again at much higher speeds, which I suspect really is to be expected.

I will look into this gearbox flushing, any recommendations for where i can get this done in Londen/essex area?

i dont want to go to a main dealer and pay through the nose.
