Being a true petrol head ( diesel in the case of RRs) toys out in the sun for a clean and pamper today. Checked oils on all cars, then lifted the lid on the RRs. Can I find a dipstick - nope. But there is a neat gismo in the dash that does just this job when the engine is warm, on level ground, on the vehicle has stood for 10 mins. Mind I've had no luck with this either. It seems blank when I do what the book says. Done 1200 miles since I've purchased, and wondered what's the general oil use age on the 3.0 SDV6. (MY13 with 13.2k now on the clock.)

Mine doesn't use any oil between oil changes. Circ 9000 miles.

Hi, had the same thing. Eventually worked out that the bonnet needs to be up while you wait with the engine off.

I check mine in the morning before driving off.
All oil has drained back to the sump and no issues.
Uses very little oil though.
Bonnet doesn't need to be up.
