Morning All,

Just got my first Range Rover, A Sport Red, Orkney Grey, now 3 weeks old. Far better than my last 4 X 4, Toyota Landcruiser LC5, left the road in heavy floods, and landed side on in a ditch.....yes i know, could have gone a little slower, may not have happened, but i am here to tell the tale, and drive a better car. Thank you How much !!!

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Hi all,
I thought I'd finally introduce myself here now I have a photo to post!
I've been on the forum for a few weeks now and have found it very useful, thank you to everyone. It helped me when buying my Sport and for sorting a few issues and mods.
Here is my 2005 TDV6 HSE in Zermatt Silver:

It has factory rear entertainment, sunroof and rear heated seats on top of the usual HSE stuff.
The exterior was completely standard so I have added rear tints, clear repeaters, LED side lights and 20 inch V Spokes. It needed 2 tyres anyway and I found these from a dealer up country, excellent condition with nearly new General Grabbers for £400... (And sold mine for £330 on eBay!)

I was thinking of colour coding and side steps but really like the silver on black look and think anything else would spoil it for me. I may detango the lights and add LED DRL rings as per the recent thread but we'll see.
Inside I had my bobbly steering wheel retrimmed in soft nappa leather with matching stitching by Jack Royal Steering Wheels and was the best thing I did with the car!

As well as the above I have had the 7 year service done, all bets, tensioners etc, I have blanked the EGRs due to an EGR fault code and the usual symptoms, (now I have improved fuel economy, better throttle response and it seems a bit more power).
I have also replaced the driver's seat base heating element.
Still to do: Sort rear de-mister, (I've been watching the thread...), and have a look at the front park sensors which are a bit intermittent.

I've really enjoyed the car so far and thank you again for all the help Very Happy

Northern Ireland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Afternoon Folks.

My Name's Conor and I'm from Belfast. I've had my RRS for just over a year now. It's a 2007 Stornoway grey tdV8. Great car but having a few problems with the front suspension arms and bushens. I'm sure I can ask some advice on this after some introductions.

The website / forum looks great. Looking forward to using it a lot more in the future.

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Java Black

Hi All

ive come across from Fullfatrr. I had a 4.4V8 2004 RR for 2.5 years, it served me well and did >45K miles in it

Just changed a few weeks ago to a 2008 RRS, 4.2 SC HST, in black/black

really pleased with the car, just got to retrofit a heated wheel and I will be even more happy on those 5am trips to the airport Smile cheers

theres some threads on disco3.co.uk on how to fit the later heated wheel

its about £500 of parts new from a dealer, less if you can pick them up used (makes £150 option price when new seem like a bargain) I guess you can ebay your old wheel etc and get some money back

you need:

a new MY09 smooth napa leather heated wheel (nice upgrade in itself)
MY09 or later clock spring rotary coupler
Left hand wheel switch pack with heater controls/cruise/voice etc (to match existing)

then run a 12v power wire to suit 10A with plug to the clock spring to power it

Im going to pay an independant an hour or so labour to do it whilst I get my towing electrics done cheers

let me know how it goes.

I always thought it was a silly feature but think its actually pretty good after driving with one before!
