Updated: Did I speak too soon....All good again

That'll teach me....soafter I gave my RRS 9.5 out of 10 in that other thread, it went in to 'limp mode' today Shocked

LR assistance came out tonight (the car had reset itself after leaving it locked up for an hour) and checked the logged faults.
Seems that one of the turbo's lost pressure and the dpf couldnt cycle either ... so it going into LR tomorrow for a check up. Hope it's nothing major. Sad

Will report back when I find out what the prognosis is. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Current mpg Ady confirms that there's no 'pussy footing' here Whistle

All under warranty Bradders Cool , I can assure you I won't be paying a Bean. Wink

@ Muddy Laughing - hopefully I won't be long in your world Shocked

Enterprise tried to fob me off this morning, they said 'do I NEED a car?'. I politely replied 'that is irrelevant, having spent the best part of 60k, I will be WANTING a car!' Laughing Will let you know what it is when I collect this afternoon. Mrs Bean hoping for an Evoque, me, I'd quite like a FFRR..... Cool Laughing

Car is now also booked in for a service on Thursday, so I said they may as well keep the car until it's had that done too Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Apparantly LR have listened to customer feedback on this issue. My car broke down a couple of weeks ago and I was LR assisted back to the dealer. When I asked the guy what car I would get from Enterprise he said that he couldn't say but that it would be an LR product. He told me that except for exceptional circumstances they will provide an LR car as a loaner because there had been so many complaints. Right enough, I ended up with a very nice brand new RRS Autobiography Mr. Green

Just as an aside, my breakdown was complete shutdown of the engine. It would restart but would turn off again after a minute of driving Confused Tank was full of fuel! Turned out that it was a faulty sender unit for the fuel gauge, which had actually failed earlier but I hadn't had time to take it for repair. Turns out that if the car thinks it has no fuel it will turn off the engine to protect itself... Too clever by half Whistle So, if your fuel gauge goes faulty, don't hang about for repair, get it in to dealer asap. It's no fun when your bombing along and lose all power, including power steering! Shocked I was on a bend when it first failed and it took all my strength to turn the wheels and keep the car on the road Confused Shocked 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

I've started telling everyone that the Sport is a unreliable heap of crud in the hope that the curse works both ways Whistle 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks guys. Thumbs Up
Dropped the car off this afternoon. Was initially given an Astra by Enterprise Shocked as apparently, having most of the day isn't enough time to sort out a car for me Banging Head . I threw a few toys out of the pram Whistle and was offered an Evoque or an XF.
Took the Evoque as Mrs Bean fancied the idea of pootling around in one and they swapped the cars tonight at home. Cool
No news on my RRS, but they said they'd be in touch tomorrow, so fingers crossed Neutral

Will update when I hear more. Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Bad news... Thud

Well, no news on my RRS, but Mrs Bean has fallen in love with the Orkney Grey (very well spec'd) Evoque and wants to reinstate plans to chop in the 500 against one Shocked Big Cry

ZV - 6 months for one Question Shocked I was offered one within 2 months by the dealer yesterday as I was sitting in one there (although maybe it was a cancelled order, I didn't question it). ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I knew it - nearly cost me for a FFRR when mine broke down but thankfully LRCS/Dealer experience made me see sense and I did not give in to temptation Embarassed
