Great, will have a read later today. Will it actually sound good? Like I mentioned, it is my first diesel so I have no idea how a sports exhaust will sound. I don't want it super loud unlike my other toys.

It doesn't fail if its a diesel 
If you read the MOT tester's manual, you will see it's only a petrol vehicle that requires a cat for an MOT  Strathearn Engineering

So is that a loophole there then? Because if you read the manual, it states where a cat has been previously fitted ie by the manufacturer and isn't fitted to the vehicle at the time of the mot test then its a fail |

As there is no emmissions test carried out for a diesel only a smoke test, one would think that without a cat it would be a fail
