Car was last serviced April 9th 2011, with 10,411 miles. It's now got 20,532 miles. No sign of the service indicator on the dash despite it being less than 4 weeks until the 1yr anniversary.

The service book (MY10) says nothing about having a service every 12 months or xx miles, just to "refer to the service interval indicator". Now, I am a convert of the "service at least once a year" school of thought... but.. either the LR book is wrong, the service indicator is wrong/broken.. or I am wrong to stick to a habit I picked up along my years as a car owner.

tempted to wait but have a few warranty niggles to get sorted too. And then the conversation whenever I sell it about why the gap in servicing  ============
