Exactly, still too many dogs being docked for no reason I'm all for it in the correct circumstances (gun dogs etc) but not for cosmetic reasons. They both look lovely. Why do people chop their tails off? What are the reasons? |

In certain instances it is for the good of the dog, eg working dogs such as Springer Spaniels used as proper gun dogs. I believe it is to stop their tail becoming caught when chasing through bracken etc. I think you can get it done by a vet if there is a valid reason such as this.

i think your correct, but after having breeds in the family that have always had their tales docked, it seems to look strange when you see a dog that has its tail still.
