Whatever you do, be careful. Eight operations, metal bolts, bone transplants, Plaster casts and I am still not better. Look after it and do as the Doctor or Consultant advises! |

Careful on the pills - remember that pain is the bodies' alarm to tell us we're doing something wrong - if you're masking or dulling this by taking pills then you could be doing more harm than good without realising.

Very good point! And the doc didn't fill me with confidence as she didn't even feel my back at any point. |

I think a doctors way to deal with pain is to supply pain killers, especially for backs and such like, In the past i have tried osteopaths, putting their electronic massager and electric shock things (like a TENNS machine) to free the spasm in the muscle due the the muscle trying to protect the injury.

my osteo never did any of that tenns cobblers, just proper massage on muscles linked to the problem area, but not the area iself; loosen everything else off and the back can free up and unknot. think we're talking same thing nick - call it chiro or osteo just my experience is osteo is a little gentler if yr squeamish jonny -but either way maybe just not pain killers however u do it - hope u get it sorted ![]() 2009 RRS TDV8 Santorini Black Ivory / Anigre Privacy DVD & TV Side Steps |
