IF CARLSBERG MADE THE FFRR...... HA HA HA

As everyone knows I got a FFRR for my courtesy vehicle.

SO..... I got thinking......
"What can I do to improve it..... TING (Lightbulb Moment) "

If Carlsberg where to make the FFRR they would probably put this on ......

As nice as the Sport is, there is no getting away from the Disco in drag act nor the sadness that the pre-facelift cars are now entering the masses.........it happens to all cars at some point including Big Daddy.

As much as I was Mr pro Sport, there is no getting away from the fact that Big Daddy has superiority over the other stable members of the Land Rover family in the majority of vs. scenarios including the drag act.............it may be a 10 year old design, but still the one to have IMO, no other vehicle exudes such class and commands such presence........as for the ageism angle, 60% of Sports I see these days are driven by Silver tops! Apart from disco drivers tend to have no taste - drive around wearing camo gear and a leather hat...with envy they didnt buy a sport, that is just better in quantifiable and none terms

As i have said before - you may say a sport is a disco in drag - i would say the disco is the fat ugly sister

FFRR is old, dated, a little like a ship and looks like it

I think the camo gear / hat wearing analogy is apt for the D1 / D2 brigade, but rarely for the D3 / 4, they tend to be covered in bitumen with the unfortunate smell of fish cunningly woven into their rags Wink

........as for "the" Range Rover, old maybe in platform design terms, dated I think not - the latest Joan Collins update has worked wonders and as for ship like, agreed, that interior can only be likened to a luxury liner and the exterior to an XSR48 Mr. Green L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Zambezi Silver

I had been on a yacht all weekend, the FF felt a bit bargie, as for the D3/4 & Spurt debate the Spurt wins the lookers prize but the D takes line honours as a multi tool. My 110, well that is surely superior to all of it's stablemates. Whistle 08 2.7 RRS "S"

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

I dont think the FFRR has any more presence or superiority over the sport or indeed any other marque in the lineup. The decision to go for the sport over the FFRR for myself was made due to many reasons. Cheif of which is that the car will be used by the wife and hopefully move to being her primary car if family plans come to fruition.

We wanted a large practical car, with safety, an element of prestige and capable off road, but didnt fel a full size RR was necesary. Moving to a FFRR from her current vehicle (Seat Altea) would have been a very large jump in size. The Sport seemed a much more sensible size to move to while still getting the vast majority of that RR quality and feel. A move to an Evoke once she gets chance to drive one may not be off the cards.

No doubt there will be many FFRR drivers looking down their nose at the "lowly" sport model when sat next to them at the lights. I shall just have to hang my head in shame for only having the poverty spec RR. Or the "gay" Range Rover as Ive heard it referred to. Laughing RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.
